Global Chemical Leasing Award: A big step forward for sustainability in Sri Lanka đ±
This week, Sri Lanka hosted an important milestone: The Responsible Care Members' Day brought together international experts, leading voices in the chemical industry and sustainability pioneers. A highlight of the event was the signing of a chemical leasing pilot project that emphasises the role of innovative business models in the green industry.
Dr Reinhard Joas, a leading advisor to the EU and international expert on Chemical Leasing (UNIDO/UNEP), emphasised in his speech that Chemical Leasing not only conserves resources, but also creates economic and ecological synergies. đż
What makes Chemical Leasing special?
It focusses on the use of chemicals instead of their sale.
Sustainable incentives are created for all parties involved to optimise the use of chemicals.
It contributes to less waste and lower emissions.
The event was more than just an exchange of knowledge. It showed how concretely and sustainably Chemical Leasing can be used as a business model worldwide.
A step towards the circular economy - a goal that the Global Chemical Leasing Award also supports!
Congratulations to the organisers and all the partners who made this day possible!
